Vegas Technology

Vegas Technology began as a firm based in Toronto Ontario called OddsOn, and was founded in 1996 in response to the rise in e-commerce. Back then the company offered e-commerce sites secure facilities for taking payments and transferring money over the Internet, a fairly visionary move at the time.

Their initial offering was extremely successful, but they soon realised that a large number of their clients could use more than just banking and e-cash facilities, and so they created a software development division. Armed with a suite of revolutionary Java-based games, they acquired casino licenses in Antigua and Barbuda and began to build an empire.

They were extremely well placed to enter this market because their experiences in banking had taught them a lot about security, especially important if your business relies on people giving up their credit card details over the Internet.

OddsOn continued to grow and prosper, and in 2003 they merged with English Harbour Gaming Ventures – one of the oldest and most respected online casino operators on the Internet – as that company's software development arm. They dropped the OddsOn moniker, and were reborn as Vegas Technology, the name they hold today.

It's interesting to note that nearly all of Vegas Technology's arsenal of more than 100 titles can be played both as a download to a player's computer, or immediately within a web browser. They have a well-founded reputation for providing top quality software with excellent graphics and sound.

Vegas Technology's software is audited by Certified Fair Gaming, a third party company that assesses whether games are fair and honest. It's a gruelling process – the logs from all their major games are analysed every month to make sure everything is above board that there's been no cheating – but it's worth it because it inspires player confidence. The results of these monthly analyses are typically available on their casinos' websites for players to view.

The Vegas Technology library includes 15 video poker games and over 80 kinds of slot machines. In a move to stay ahead of the competition, their slot games cater for a wide variety of skill levels to ensure they appeal to beginner players, but their offering for avid gamblers is equally impressive.

Their slots offer multi-line payouts and wild symbols, and there are 5 networked progressive jackpots that routinely pay out in the millions. Their innovative designs won them the “Top Casino Software” award in 2005, a prestigious industry recognition.

One area where Vegas Technology shines is their focus on multi-player tournament play - nearly all of their games can be played in tournament mode, which brings players flocking to their casinos. They offer a high number of regular monthly tournaments with guaranteed prizes, plus a number of “free roll” tournaments so that new players can learn the ropes.

In spite of the shaky legal future their doors remain open to players from the USA, which means there is always a lot of action at a Vegas Technology casino.
